Kent and Lauren Howard

Kent, a Rome native, joined the FCA staff in March of 2015. He graduated from Rome High School and then attended Shorter University on a basketball scholarship where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Prior to joining the FCA staff, he spent two years in sales/finance and thirteen years as a Business Education Teacher and Athletic Coach in three public high schools. While in education, he earned both his Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees.

Lauren, Kent's "better half", also graduated from Rome High School but attended the University of Georgia and graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in Commercial Photography. After working in Account Services for The Coca-Cola Company, she decided to pursue her dream of a career in professional photography. Currently, she serves as the Administrative Assistant for FCA Rome Area where she works extremely hard to keep Kent on task.

Lauren and Kent have two beautiful children, Isabelle and Mac, and their family hobby is enjoying life together. 

Coach Humphreys

David Humphreys

Humphreys a thirty-two year coaching veteran at high school, collegiate, and professional levels recently retired from coaching to pursue ministry opportunities.

As an Area Representative, Humphreys will focus on building a coaching ministry.

About his new position, Humphreys stated, “I am extremely excited about joining the FCA staff and using some of my coaching experience and my love for the Lord to encourage coaches to continue the good fight. Coaching can be so demanding that my wish is to help local coaches with some of their daily burden.”

32 years of coaching football and 6 years of soccer. 14 of those years as a Head Coach and Athletic Director. High School is states of Arkansas and Georgia. College experience at Purdue University, University of Georgia, and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Professional experience with Rome Renegades and Georgia Force.

Brian

Brian Crick

Brian, a Polk County, GA native, graduated from Cedartown High School. He attended Georgia Southern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, and a Master’s Degree, in Business Education. Brian has taught for the Floyd County School System for the past 21 years. He formerly coached football, baseball, and soccer for a combined 16 years. Six of these he served as a Head Coach. Brian has served as a Deacon for over ten years, and he has served as an Elder for over five years, at his church.

Brian and Nichole were high school sweethearts, dating throughout high school and college before marrying in 1998. Nichole graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Nichole is currently the Director of Business Operations/District Manager for Public Health.

Brian and Nichole have a son, Bo, who is currently attending Georgia College and State University. Brian’s family attends West Rome Baptist Church.

His primary responsibility will be Leadership Development on our campuses across Rome and Floyd County.
